21 February 2025: Twelve months on from laying the keel, Peter Matheson writes:I have now cut all the planking for the deck (Pitch Pine), which I got, compliments of English Annie, from her brother. It is in position but not fixed down. It will now be taken off and preservative applied, before being fixed down. I’m still hoping to get the boat to the Port Soy Traditional boat festival. Maybe by road. My wife (the original American Lady) doesn’t want an old mannie like me going to sea any more. I will be 79 when the boat festival is on.
